How long does the Google AdWords Professional Exam last before you have to resit it?
When I originally sat this exam in January 2008, I did not have to resit it until January 2010 to maintain myAdWords Professional status.
It now only lasts 12 months!
So looks like I’ll have to resit the exam in January 2011.
Still, it only costs $50, and it is not difficult if you manage AdWords accounts every day…

There seems to be alot of contrasting views. Is it really as easy as some commentators say. Do you think it’s worth taking?
Hello again Jonny.
Yes it is definitely worth doing, if only for the fact that you can have a Google Qualified logo on your web site and business cards.
No, it is not easy, unless you do AdWords on a daily basis *and* spend *at least* a few hours in the AdWords Learning Center. But if you do that, and don’t are prepared to accept that some of the questions are pretty much impossible to answer correctly, then you should be OK.
NB – to get your qualified status, as well as passing the exam, you need to spend manage an AdWords spend of at least £500 over a 90 day period…
By the way…
If you are considering becoming a Qualified Google Advertising Professional, please contact me re the possibility of joining PPCNI.com as an employee/partner as I am hoping to make PPCNI.com an Adwords Qualified Company in the not too distant future..
Thanks!
Hi Jordan,
That’s what I would have thought. If you aren’t familiar with it then I can’t see how it would be easy.
The reason for taking it wouldn’t be to run client campaigns, its more for my own business directory site.
