Google Announces (Limited) ‘Dynamic Search Ads’..

Not content with launching AdWords Express In The UK, and AdWords Product Listing Ads In The UK,Google announced yet another way that makes it easier for businesses to give their money directly to Google without the inconvenience of having to manually set up their own adverts or consult a third party consultant first:-

Google AdWords Dynamic Search Ads.

Though to be fair (at least in the short term) – they are pushing this as something that you should use in addition to other AdWords adverts.

But it does beg the question, is this the start of Google actively trying to remove the middle men (AdWords Qualified Professionals / AdWords Certified Companies)?

Maybe I am being a little paranoid here – but if you are a PPC consultant I don’t think you can afford to ignore these developments completely.

  1. I’m not really a big fan of Google’s automated systems for maxing out an AdWords user’s credit card but don’t think it is much of a threat to AdWords managers.

Of course, there will always be those that are attracted to the idea that you can maintain an AdWords account for free and that having the people who bill your credit card look after your account is a good idea, but there’ll always be enough sensible people around to ensure that third party professionals have enough work.

Adrian, you have a higher opinion of most business owners than I do!
