So What Exctly Are The Limits On A Google Adwords Account (Campaigns, Ad Groups, Keywords) Continued….
Some more emails from Adwords Support….
Thank you for your email. You already have the maximum limit of keywords
per adgroup available which is 5000 keywords per adgroup. If you were
referring to the maximum number of keywords per account this is currently
set at 1 million. No further size increases are possible. You may consider creating a second AdWords account for any new campaigns.
We can then link your accounts to ensure consistency and compliance with
our policies. Please note that account statistics (ex: keyword lists and
performance history) will not be transferred from one account to the
other. If you choose to open a new account, we recommend that you download
an account report to retain this information first. To do so, follow the
steps listed at
https://adwords.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=6290&hl=en_GB
So there you have it (To summarise the above and a few other emails) It would seem that the absolute limits on an Adwords account are:-
- Campaign’s per account: 100
- Adgroups per campaign: 10,000
- Keywords per ad group: 5,000
- Total keywords: 1,000,000
But I should point out that once I started working with around half a million keywords, using Adwords Editor, it took around 6 hours just to copy and paste 5 campaigns, do a search and replace, and then upload the changes! So good luck if you are working with a million…:-)
